With Appreciation
for Always 'Being There'
for Me and Others

This webpage has been built in honour of Joan, who is a warmhearted lovable person and a True Lady in every sense of the word. I've always looked up to her for her wisdom, kindness, patience, and most of all for her understanding of people struggling to learn a better way of life. She is also one of a trio of beautiful ladies we affectionately refer to as 'The Golden Girls' for obvious reasons. Joan is a beautiful woman of regal bearing who never lets her wellbred dignity get in the way of a good heartfelt giggle when the situation allows. *smile*

Known for her humour as well as her spiritual strength, she is well loved amongst her peers and is respected and admired by all. I've had the honour and pleasure of being her friend for some time now, and am very grateful to my Heavenly Father for bringing Joan into my life when I really needed someone like her to help guide me on my spiritual journey. In the last few years, Joan's watched me go through some pretty big changes that I might Not have been able to face without her quiet guidance, support and encouragement when Most needed. In a very Real way, she may have actually saved my life, and what I am and how I live from here onwards, I owe largely to this lady and I'll always love her for that.

We don't often get the chance to give a little something back to those who most enrich our lives in so many important ways, so I'm Very pleased to be able to give you this webpage in your honour Joan. I love you my friend, and want to thank you for being such an inspiration for me and many others. You have indeed, made a Real difference in my life and for that alone, you'll always have my profound respect, admiration and gratitude. So right from the heart Joan, Thank You and God Bless.

To Joan with Sincere Appreciation

You ARE My Hero

"The Starfish"

Once upon a time there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing, as he had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw what appeared to be a human figure 'dancing' up ahead.

As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man reaching down to the shore, picking something up and very gently throwing it into the ocean. As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?" The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean. The sun is up, the tide is going out and if I don't throw them back in they'll die."

"But, young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach, and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!" The young man listened politely. Then he bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said with a smile, "It made a difference for that one."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is something very special in each and every one of us. We have all been gifted with the ability to make a difference. And if we can become aware of that gift, we gain through the strength of our visions the power to shape the future. We must each find our own starfish. And if we throw our stars wisely and well, the world will be blessed.
