PRICE INCREASE!
Once again we saw some interesting pricing behaviour
yesterday (Wed. Aug 20, 2003).
| 1. |
Petro-Canada was the first to raise their prices again.
Their stations on 3rd Ave S, 6th Ave S and Mayor Magrath
were posting 77.4 cents as of noon. |
| 2. |
Shell & Turbo stations were posting 77.4 by 5 p.m. |
| 3. |
Safeway was directed to raise their prices at 4 p.m. and gradually implemeted the increase.
They behaved differently at the West and South side stores.
There was a separate e-mail sent describing false stock outs last night at the South side Safeway. |
| 4. |
The Essos were up to 77.4 by 6 p.m. |
| 5. |
Independendents were still selling at posted price of 75.9 well into the evening.
( Gas King , Canadian Tire ) |
Did anyone else notice unusual pricing behaviour ?
Feel free to share on our feedback page.
I will be away for a couple of days.

August 15, 2003. Sunday
Drive for Fair Gasoline Prices
The Drive was a wonderful success
with over 60 vehicles participating.
Keep up the Great Work! Together We
Can make a difference.
"I
would like to personally thank everyone who came out on Sunday, August
17 for the drive to Fort MacLeod.
There always needs to
be visible forms of community support.
That is the only pressure that we can exert and your participation
very much contributed to the success of this event.
We will now have to
decide how we can keep the issue in the spotlight."
