TIPS FOR CONSUMERS

1.         Boycott Shell, Turbo and PetroCanada.

They dictate prices to each market from their Head Offices.

They are choosing to keep prices high in the Lethbridge market.

We have seen that boycotts can work and have an effect.

Loss of volume triggered the price war last September.

2.         Only buy from locations that offer significant discounts.

            3.5 cents is not enough.

3.         Boycott stations that are slow to lower prices.

4.         Let me know what prices are in other communities by return e-mail.

I need            Name of town and location

                                    Price Charged

                                    Brand or station name

5.         Complain to gas stations frequently  and regularly using factual comparisons ( e.g. their station in Fort MacLeod vs their stations in Lethbridge)

IF YOU AS A CONSUMER CONTINUE TO SUPPORT  COMPANIES THAT CONTINUE TO PRACTICE PRICE GOUGING IN THE LETHBRIDGE MARKET, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM AND THEIR BEHAVIOUR IS LESS LIKELY TO CHANGE.
