What is MVR?

Managers of Volunteer Resources (MVR) is the professional association in Southern Alberta dedicated to promoting high standards of competence in the management of volunteer recourse.

MVR is committed to building competency through educational and peer support opportunities.

When do we meet?

Meetings are scheduled monthly from January to December on the third Thursday of each month. No sessions are held in December, July and August.

Education sessions include topics pertaining to volunteer management and nonprofit organizational management.

MVR hosts an annual one-day workshop with a well-known and respected leader in the field of Volunteer Management.

Who can join MVR ?

Membership is open to any individual who is:

Currently responsible for the management of volunteers or the management of a non-profit organization.

A graduate of, or student in a recognized program of studies related to management of volunteers.

Experienced in management of volunteers and wishing to maintain or develop professional contacts.

 

How can you join?
