Lethbridge Regional Hospital
 Christmas Festival of Trees
 & Senior Tea

As we entered the beautifully decorated hospital lobby, we were greeted by patients and visitors alike with warm smiles, hello’s and  comments of; “you ladies are lovely” “so beautiful” “love your colors” and “your hats are gorgeous!”  One gentleman offered to exchange his cowboy hat for my hat!  So much fun and isn’t that what Red Hatting is all about?

Biddies & Tarts, Queen Marlene & Queen Shirley of Cinnamon Sisters

It was a shame more Red Hatters didn’t take advantage of this FREE Tea for Seniors.  Queen Lorraine and her sister Connie of Summer Wine and Queen Mum Sandy and Countess of Harmony Fran of Chief Mountain So. Belles joined with Queen Marlene and her Biddies & Tarts  and Queen Shirley of Cinnamon Sisters to enjoy the happy atmosphere of a Festival of the most incredibly beautifully decorated Christmas Trees that filled that lobby.

It was especially wonderful to view the small tree that Queen Marlene and her Biddies & Tarts decorated  and performed their magic so that we can lay claim to “our very own Red Hat Christmas Tree”!!  Thank you Queen Marlene and all your ladies!

The Festival Auction will be at a later date and we do hope that all those beautiful trees generate huge amounts of money for the Hospital Foundation..  Take the time ladies, to stop at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital Lobby and view the glorious decorations and trees during this Christmas season.

Hospital Auxiliary Ladies serving Tea & Desserts

You just never know how many different hats our Red Hat ladies wear throughout their lives and still do as a matter of fact as we  were so surprised to find our Queen Beryl of Red Hat Teddies and 2 of her chapterettes were a part of the volunteer Hospital Auxiliary that provided and served the scrumptious desserts and tea.  We do love our desserts!!

We were also greeted very graciously by Debra Ramage Executive Director of the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation along with  Jason Vandenhoek, Fund Development Coordinator in charge of this Christmas Tree Festival. He just had to have a picture of us in all our glory!  Everyone likes to be recognized, however we Red Hats are visible everywhere these day’s with our Red and Pink Hats and Purple and Lavender clothes!  Out and about, it’s what we do and who we are…Red Hatters that Matter!
We spent a wonderful afternoon socializing, taking pictures, simply  having a ball pursuing Fun, Friendship, Freedom & Fulfillment!  It’s the Red Hat way!
