PURPLE PASSION LUNCHEON, NOV 12/08

What a glorious sight to see a room full of PURPLE and so little Red!

How much purple CAN you wear?

We
don’t really know as anything was possible with these creative Red Hat Ladies!

From
purple eyelashes to purple flip flops and purple hair it was just amazing. There
was elegance, funky, simple and most of all beauty among them.

The judges, Queen Karen of the Scarlet Pumpernickels and Queen Mum Sandy
of Chief Mountain So. Belles and Mistress of Ceremonies, had a good look while
everyone was getting seated, buying 50/50 tickets and receiving a few draws for
prizes.

Lunch
was served by the wait staff of the Parkside Inn and then the
fun began! More door prizes were drawn and there were 5 little
gifts dressed as “crackers” that Queen Mum Sandy simply tossed
over her shoulder to add to the fun! Opening those created
quite a stir with all the ooo’s and aaahs as inside each was a
bling ring! My we do love our bling!
A
parade of purple was held and then all lined up around the
ballroom floor so the judges could get a good look…….Queen
Beryl of Red Hot Teddies and Queen Maria of Purple Pedi
Boomers (how appropriate!) both won for the most elegant.

Queen Sandy of Country Angels,
for
“fun” with her purple eyelashes and purple hair and hat,
Queen
Lorraine of Summer Wine for beauty,
Glennis of Lavender & Lace for her “hip” look with purple toe
socks, flip flops and purple puppy,

Empress Eileen of Cheerful Crimson Hatters for the most
“funky” with her entire outfit and purple glasses too! Lot’s
of laughs, it’s what we do

If
that wasn’t enough fun and laughter, the 50/50 draw was made
and won by Mary C of Vulcan Trekkies. As she came to get her
money, Queen Mum Sandy said she would have to search her body
for it,what a good sport she was! After patting me down and
in quite a thorough search (! )she finally found her money in
my shoe!

All in good fun and Red Hat Laughter!
A wonderful time was had by all. Queen Karen and Lady Barb
of the Scarlet Pumpernickels, who by the way, did a fine job
of planning the luncheon, were asked when we could do this
again! (?)
Thank you Red Hat Ladies for all the Fun, Friendship,
Freedom, & Fulfillment you brought into our lives this day!
Queen Mum Sandy
