RED HAT CONVERGENCE OF
BOOTS, BLING & BONNETS”

Although this was a North Western U.S. Event, and as always, we were excited to be included in the invitation, it certainly looked like most of the room of 500 Red Hatters were Canadians!  We do love to converge on a good party and what a party it was!  The Flathead Red Hats and the city of Kalispell, Montana opened their hearts, hotels, motels and shops to all of us with the greatest of shopping, dinning and entertainment experiences.

Many of us arrived on Thurs. to start that party frenzy we thrive on and it continued throughout the entire weekend!  Friday was registration and the opening of the Vendors booths with all the Red Hat “Bling” we so desire!  Evening was Western Dress & Boots with “Left Over Biscuits” as entertainment and since we set out to play…that ever present conga line of Red Hatters weaving around all the tables!

Saturday we got to play all day at the Red Lion Host Hotel for anything
we desired as there were Sessions in Scrap booking, Antique Hat Pin history, Vintage Apron Trunk Show, Line Dance lessons, Fancy Face Design painting OR SHOPPING OF COURSE!

The evening dinner of “Western Bling” showed our ability to display as much “bling” as possible for an elegant evening of dress up!  Local gal Gretchen Stoner sang for our supper and then there were those awesome guy’s “the Singing Sons “O” Beaches” that had us toe tapping and again dancing that conga line!

Sunday morning was our "Pajama Breakfast in Bonnets", yes, we really do travel from hotels, motels in our pajama’s as it’s all in fun, it’s what we do!  The amusing entertainment by a local Laffologist had us in stitches and what an appropriate ending to a wild, and happy weekend of Red Hatters playing!!  But wait!…those lively Prairie Angel Red Hats with Queen Clydine from Arrowwood, Alberta paraded onto the stage with their original routine to set us laughing once again followed by a song about Kalispell with lively and witty words!

It was definitely a fun filled knee slappin’, boot scootin’, unforgettable Red Hat weekend with all our thanks to those Flathead Red Hats for making it possible with all their hard work and preparations!
