RED HATS ENJOY RACE DAY & KY. DERBY!
 MAY 2, 2009

A beautiful sunny warm day at Lethbridge Rocky Mountain Turf Club
was enjoyed by 125 Red Hat Ladies with thanks to Queen Beryl of Red Hot Teddies for her arrangements & telephone calls.

Queen Beryl of Red Hot Teddies Blowing Her Kazoo to start the
Races!

Many of our ladies got right into the thrill of betting and cheering the horses to the finish line!  Some even won!  It was certainly a good time for Red Hatters getting together and we were served with a fine light lunch and had many a picture taken.

Red Hats lined up to watch the race!

We were recognized, introduced and welcomed by Rose Rossi, Promotions Mgr. over the loud speaker and then gathered in the winners circle to have a group photo op with the winning horse of the 6th race.

We were then invited to the Lounge on level 3 to watch the Kentucky Derby on Wide Screen T.V. and also greeted by Mayor Bob of Lethbridge.

Since the Ky. Derby is know world wide for their “Mint Juleps” we all received a small glass in preparation of the race.
A happy group of Red Hatters had a grand time at Opening Day at the Races!
