1.  Q.M.Sandy advised from now on, she will email the queen's agenda
 to all Queen's (or their e-mail representatives) prior to the gatherings
  so queens can print and bring along with them.
 Queen's need to know what is to be discussed.
 
2. OLD BUSINESS:
a) RHS SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP - Queens reported the trend
 is on the rise, many chapters complete with just a few holdouts.
  (looking pretty good!!)
 KEEP ENCOURAGING YOUR MEMBERS TO REGISTER and
 SUPPORT  the RED HAT SOCIETY!
      
b) INSURANCE - QMSandy as the new contact, has worked diligently
 with the Capri Insurance Agency to sort out the issues for Red Hat
 Chapters in the 4 western Canadian Provinces.  A letter or e-mail is
 being sent by Ins. Co. representative,(Crissy) to all chapters
 requesting further information after Feb. 7, 2010.  If you do not hear
 from her and DO have this ins. please contact her immediately.
 To be insured, ALL members of a chapter must be included at a cost
 of $6.00 per member. 
 If you do not already carry this Ins. and wish to do so for the
 2010-2011 year, please contact Crissy Cuddihy, Commercial Rep.

c) FUTURE GATHERING LOCATION:  We will try out the Community
 Room at Save On Foods for our next Gathering.  Sandy and Lorraine
 checked it out and feel it will be very appropriate for us.  NO outside
 food or beverage is permitted but they CAN be purchased within the
 store and taken to the room if you so desire.

 As all good Red Hat Society Ladies are never destructive!! Sandy
 ageed to place a $50.00 deposit for any damages while we are in that
 room and it will be refunded when we leave.  That will mean cleaning
 up after ourselves (with Sandy's thanks!)

d) WEBSITE: Lady Barb, who has done such an excellent job of
 maintaining the Lethbridge and Area website, can no longer continue
 so the search is on for someone to take that over.  Anyone who has
 an interest should contact Lady Barb (e-mail BjH27 at telus dot net)
  I'm sure she would provide training and ongoing support.
 It is to everyone's advantage to have this website!!

3. NEW BUSINESS:
a) A book featuring Red Hat Chapters from across Canada!!
 Two Queen's from Ontario sent out an e-mail, via the RHS, asking
 Queen's if they would be interested in participating in this project. 
 The concensus at this table of Queen's was a resounding "yes"!
 We encourage Queens to respond to this request when you receive it.
  If you did not, please e-mail QMSandy <chfmtsandy@aol.com> and
 she will send you a copy of said e-mail.
 Queens Sheryl & Myrtle requested a copy from QMSandy.
 She will send a copy to each of them.

4. UPCOMING EVENTS:

 MARCH 7, 2010 - OSCAR NIGHT IN CALGARY organized by the
 Wild Vintage roses.
 It starts at 7 p.m. and costs $25./person.  There will be a silent auction.
  Sandy will send e-mail to her distribution list.

 APRIL 24,2010 - RED HAT SOCIETY SUPPORTING MEMBERS BIRTHDAY LUNCH
   "TWELVE YEARS & COUNTING"!
  Hosted by Chief Mountain So. Belles, Cardston
 This will be held at  Lethbridge Legion Hall at 12 noon.

 Tickets are $25./person and can be purchased at Queen's Gathering
 or by giving/mailing Sandy Cook a cheque

 It is requested when tickets are sold for an event the Queen collect
 the money from her chapterettes and she purchase tickets needed.

  Anyone interested can get info from Sandy
  (however, she will talk you into staying home and attending
    the event at the Legion!!)
   
 JUNE 26,2010 - VICTORIAN STROLL AT HENDERSON LAKE -
     A NO COST EVENT!
            The time has not been determined yet.
 Suggestions were made that the stroll start after lunch. Sandy said
 she will take your advisement to her chapterettes.
 Chapters would be encouraged to meet in Lethbridge to have lunch
 at a restaurant (please have the courtesy to make reservations)
 or have a picnic in the park and then "stroll off all those calories"!
  ...the time will be announced soon....with request to be
 notified just how many will be coming. (need to let City know)

            SEPTEMBER 10,11,12,2010 -  RAMBLIN' ROSES COUNTRY RAMBLE - Pigeon Lake,AB  (near Edmonton) - $100.00 per person with various activities
  at additional costs.  Contact QMSandy if you wish more information.

 OCTOBER 7, 2010 - HATTER HARVEST HATOWEEN HOOT -
            HOSTED BY SUNNY RED HATTERS OF TABER
  with Q.M. Helen.  Cost is $15.00/person .  Queens are requested
 to gather money from their members and pay in a lump sum as for
 all future events.
 Posters and notice of registration will be e-mailed to Queens
 in the Spring.
