Self introductions were
made around the table and QMSandy expressed
appreciation forthe number of Queen’s, Vice and
Representatives attending. A special welcome was
made to our new Chapter and Queen Heidi
OLD BUSINESS:
1.
CHAPTER INSURANCE
- QMSandy provided background on this and an update
on her efforts to find another broker for us. If
one isn’t found, some events requiring insurance
will have to be cancelled. Sandy will continue to
work on this for the 4 western provinces and QM
Helen will assist by making inquiries with her
contacts. It may come to the point where we
(southern Alberta chapters) have to incorporate with
Alberta Corporate Registries in order to get
insurance. QMSandy will send out information as it
becomes available.
2.
Tickets Bought - A
reminder that once tickets for a local event (ie. In
OurRegion) are purchased, there are no refunds. If
a member cannot attend an event for which she has a
ticket she should try to sell it to another
Supporting Member.
3.
Lethbridge Website -
there is a great need for someone to take over the
maintenance (as well as
hosting) of our local website. At this point I’m
sure we (and Lady Barb) would welcome a member’s
husband, other relative, friend etc. to do it so ask
around and see if we can come up with some
suggestions - as a volunteer, of course!

do, there must be someone out there who has the time
& energy to properly devote to this?? Anyone?)
4.
Chapter’s and Queen’s Listing
- work is needed to bring the
list up to date. The most recent list was reviewed
and information provided. Q. clydine will send QM
Helen information she Has for Brooks and High River
Chapters. QM Helen will work on this and send the
results to QM Sandy for distribution.

5.
A Book Featuring Red Hat Chapter’s
from Across Canada - no one seems to have heard
anymore about this project except for Q Darlene who
received a reply to her inquiry: “No, we are not
obligated to buy any books if we participate; the
amount of space devoted to each RHS Chapter will
depend on the number of chapters responding with
information." QM Sandy will send another email
inquiring about the status of the project. ….
