QUEEN'S COUNCIL REPORTS
May 14th Queen's Council

These 20 Queen’s and representatives of area chapters
attended this gathering at Lethbridge Senior Center.
All topics for future events planned for the next few months
were discussed and questions answered. Please view this
page for all particulars.
It was requested that all Queen’s collect numbers and money
to purchase tickets for all events for their chapters. It does
make the sales go more smoothly. Also please be aware when a
set number is stated, sales will end. There are no exceptions
and we are so sorry every Red Hatter that wants to attend isn’t
able to do so. Please contact the Queen for the chapter event
with any questions and do not take the word of just anyone who
say’s “just show up.” This is not the Red Hat way. We regret
that we are growing much too quickly to accommodate every Red
Hatter. Perhaps purchase your tickets first rather than wait.
About the Victorian Stroll............
It was brought to our attention not all Red Hatters
have long skirts, dresses or Victorian dressing. It would not be
the Red Hat Way to turn anyone away for such a reason. As long
as you are dressed in Full Red Hat Regalia which is Red & Purple
or Pink & Lavender you are ALL most welcome to Stroll Henderson
Lake with all other Red Hatters that Matter! You see...we
believe EVERYONE matters! Do come with love in your heart and a
smile on your face and enjoy the stroll with your Parasols and
we will make this a Red Hat Event to remember!!
Your Host Chapter will be at the north end of the
Lake in the Kinsmen Shelter. Please stop by, sign our guest book
and visit. Those with canes or wheelchair bound are most
assuredly welcome to sit in the shelter to view the passing
Ladies and chat with Red Hatters stopping by. It is suggested
that those wishing to sit might want to bring their own lawn
chairs. There are picnic tables, but as we know, they can be
uncomfortable!
Insurance was once again mentioned with mixed emotions. It
was decided that it be an individual chapter decision. If the
majority wish for insurance coverage, every chapter member must
pay to protect the entire chapter as it is a chapter insurance
policy.
The next Queen’s Council will be held Sept.
10, 2008

INFO from QUEENS
Council AT L.S.C.O. MAR. 12,2008
Invitations, Information, Requests, all
discussed this morning
with 7 Queens and 2 Vice Queens in attendance.
All coming events are listed on Lethbridge website so it
was just a reminder to all of us Queens to get our
Chapterettes interested and purchase the tickets necessary.
Remember, when tickets are sold, there is a limited number
so get your's early!
We discussed the fact that when we say how many will
attend an event that you pay for "at the door" it is now
necessary to firm those numbers. Due to our incredibly,
awesome, fun filled Red Hatters that Matter within the
Southern Alberta Domain,
there is just no place big enough to handle all of us
lovely ladies. That's why you must attend when you say you
will because the host chapter is responsible to pay the amount
to these establishments due to ordering extra food. WE DIS
ORGANIZED RED HATTERS ARE GETTING TOO BIG to just go without
some kind of guarantee. Please don't leave our host Chapters
in the lurch with having to pay for those not showing!! It
simply is not done! If you cannot attend at the last minute,
please be gracious and pay anyway. None of us have those
kinds of funds within our means as a chapter. After all, we
fly by the feathers in our hats!
